Lovely solid silver snuff box with the cipher of King Victor-Emmanuel II of Italy, penultimate king of the House of Savoy who ascended the throne after the assassination of his father in 1900 and was forced to abdicate in 1946. During the fascist period, he was thanks to the conquests of Benito Mussolini the ephemeral king of the Albanians and emperor of Ethiopia. It is in perfect condition and the intertwined initials of the sovereign as well as the royal crown of Italy are in royal blue enamel. It weighs 90 grams.
