"Large Mirror (169*112 Cm) With Roses In Relief, Golden Wood, Louis Philippe, Early XIXth"
Superb very large Louis Philippe period mirror in wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf. Model out of the ordinary with these roses carved in relief in the corners and sides. This kind of mirror with flowers in relief was one of the most luxurious mirrors of their time. The decoration alternates flat areas in ogee with a very shiny gold leaf and reliefs in stucco with golden roses with matte leaf. The lower crosspiece was taken over by our gilder (very slight difference in color of the gold leaf). The original mirror is very lightly pitted mercury silver. In the middle of the mirror there seems to be a takeoff of the mercury tin on 1.5 cm². Original parquet flooring to the rear. Very heavy mirror (50-60kg), provide a very good hanging support. Louis Philippe period around 1830. Delivery flat in wooden crate on pallet by carrier, 280 euros in France, 600 euros in the EU and 1500 euros rest of the world.
