Saint Nicolas, standing in his bishop's outfit, delivering the three children, classically represented in a tub and this in reference to the resurrection of the three children delivered from the salt tub. As his miracles were very numerous, he is the protector of children and widows, but also the patron saint of many corporations, such as boatmen, sailors, glaziers, as well as teachers and lawyers. A beautiful 18th century subject, expressive, in sculpted wood, polychrome and in the round. Height of 95 cm by 36 in width and 26 cm in depth.
