Signed lower left Jules Mignon, red chalk drawing enhanced with gouache depicting the finished work of a seated male nude from behind and the drawing study in the lower part. Work under marie-louise, under canvas passe-partout, in a frame with golden and black strips. Dimensions at sight of the drawing 46x29 cm Total dimensions, with frame, 72x55.5 cm Jules Albert Mignon, born May 3, 1875 in Angers, painter, lithographer, was a pupil of Gustave Moreau. He exhibited in Paris, at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts and at the Salon of French Artists of which he was a member and member of the jury for engraving. He obtained a silver medal in 1922 and a gold medal in 1926.
