"Tavern Scene Dlg By David Teniers, Bas-relief Carved Ivory Plaque"
Two men are seated, one is smoking his pipe, the other, wearing a large hat, is helping himself to a drink while a woman standing behind them seems to be playing the bagpipes The tavern scenes are typical of northern, Flemish schools and Dutch of the 17th century. These representations extend until the 18th century and even the 19th century.
