"Francis Verlinden, Painting "blue Woman", Oil On Canvas Signed And Dated 1977"
Oil on canvas by the painter Francis Verlinden, signed and dated 1977 and representing an almost naked seated woman, dressed in a blue shirt. The technique of his painting reflects a perfect mastery of the subject (very little material used). Canvas in very good condition, we recently gilded the frame because it was a little worn... other photos on request. See our 2 other paintings by the painter on this site... Biography: Francis Verlinden is a Belgian painter, illustrator and draftsman, he was born in Ixelles (Brussels) in 1935, graduated from Decorative Arts at Saint-Luc in Brussels. Trained for 5 years with the painter Paul G. Klein in Damme, which probably gave him this intuition and power of line, a "brush stroke" that many envy him, the artist paints with extreme speed and a fair line. Predilection for the figures of young women and indoor nudes, he painted erotic scenes probably taken in cabarets. He moved to Knokke-Heist in 1964.
