Ovoid vase with wide scalloped neck in matte green and smooth white enamelled earthenware ( stoneware ), smooth blue enameled interior. Produced by Ernest D'Hossche (Studio d'Art) in the Ateliers Boch Frères Kéramis around 1940/1950, still under the influence of Art Deco. In perfect condition and fully waterproof. BFK Studio d'Art stamp specific to Ernest D'Hossche + "D.3034" for decor number + "188" for shape number. Biography: Ernest D'Hossche entered the pottery factory Boch Frères Kéramis at a very young age and was quickly spotted by Charles Catteau. He collaborates closely with the great ceramist Raymond Chevalier and Léon Empein, he will then become an artistic adviser and will create the "Studio d'Art" workshop. He made numerous models of crockery, dishes, vases, ceramic and stoneware sculptures, particularly for Expo 58, with an innovative, even avant-garde look.
