"Tehran Rugs Designed In Wool, 19th Century."
Tehran rugs designed in kork wool of extra silky quality, on a cotton foundation. Is characterized by a so-called "zil y sultan" decoration with flower vases surrounded by stylized birds on a beige background. Ivory field with twists of fine branches in pale pink with seedlings of azure blue medallions, adorned with stylized flower buds. The hooks and diamonds are in ruby, beige and green bronze, surrounded by barrettes in cartouches, consisting of five borders. Density: between 8,000 to 9,000 knots per dm2. Measurements: Length: 320 cm Width: 216 cm
