"Vast Stone Altar Antependium - Early XX"
Late 19th century, very early 20th century, coming from a private chapel in the Loire, this element of the altar is important in terms of its dimensions. It is made up of 5 elements (like the number of the Saviour's wounds), in stone and in high relief, organized around the central piece which is the sculpture of Christ in Glory, centered in a four-lobed medallion. At his side, two by two, are the four evangelists and their classic representation. The whole fits into a harmonious double square, measuring 135 cm deep by 270 cm wide. Very good condition, beautiful natural patina.
