During the reign of Louis XIV, cabinetmakers specializing in the manufacture of frames for mirrors or paintings made their works according to the drawings of architect-decorators appointed by the king. Thus, our model is reminiscent of the creations of Jean Bérain (1640 - 1711), Jules Hardouin-Mansard (1646-1708), or even Robert de Cotte (1656 - 1735). The purchaser can divert the frame from its current function and use it to underline a painting, the dimensions of the view are 67.5 x 50 cm.
