The fetish represents two pairs of janiform faces in opposition resting on a large circular base, the upper part of the piece receiving the most imposing faces. The latter, characteristic of Songye art, have large almond-shaped eyes barred by a wide slit and framing a flat nose. The mouth in high relief as well as the bottom of the face are treated in a cubist manner, the top of the skull symbolically stuck with a horn. The neck adorned with a necklace of multicolored pearls, a magic charge swaddled in a fabric placed at the base of the piece.
