Century Adorable alabaster statue representing Zephyr in the guise of a putto with butterfly wings flying in the clouds.
this putto is charming and recalls the classic representations of eros or cupid but this time he wears butterfly wings and flies on clouds, it is true that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the two!
it would therefore be a representation of the west wind or simply a son of Aeolus.
the putto is charming and very finely carved in translucent alabaster in the less thick parts.
the face turned to the side is very finely sculpted and the hair curled on a pretty chubby body.
