"Japan XIXth / XXth Nigoshide Porcelain Vase Kakiemon Style Arita Sakaida Kakiemon Kilns"
ASIAN ARTS JAPAN PORCELAIN KAKIEMON ARITA WOOD FURNACES Beautiful vase in Nigoshide porcelain (milky white), elongated with a narrowed neck, signed under the base. The classic Kakiemon style decor, born at the beginning of the 17th century in Japan, thanks to a dynasty of Japanese potters, the Sakaida Kakiémon, which has lasted for nearly 400 years (currently Sakaida Kakiemon XV), is composed of two perched birds on a rock among hollyhocks and chrysanthemums. The color palette is that typical of the khakiémon style, blue, yellow, red (from khaki (emon)), turquoise and brown; black as an edging to all things. The white space, left blank, within the decor itself, is also the prerogative of quality Kakiemon style pieces. Very good condition (see descriptive photos). Signed under the base. Weight: 949 grams.
