"Drop" table lamp by Giotto Stoppino produced in 1976 by Tronconi (Italy). Made of frosted (sandblasted) double opal glass on a chromed steel quadripod base. This luminaire is a typical example of Italian Design from the 1970s (Space Age type), bringing together national craftsmanship and industrial skills. Design with clean lines and quality materials including VISTOSI white lined glass (Venice, Murano...). Perfect state of conservation, electricity ok. Giotto Stoppino was born in Italy in 1926. Architect and designer, he created numerous objects and lights, notably in 1967 the iconic lamp No. 537 "Equilibrium" produced by Arteluce in partnership with Vittorio Gregotti and Lodovico Meneghetti (Architetti Associati " " Associated Architects"). He died in 2011 in Milan. The editor Enrico Tronconi is an Italian artist designer, he is also known for having edited lights with big names in design in collaboration with Murano glassworks such as VISTOSI in the years 1970s (Bamboo or Bambus model, il Personaggi, Drop, ....)
