"Psyche In Burl Mahogany Veneer, 1st Empire Period Napoleon I - Early Nineteenth"
Empire Psyche with rounded top, with original Mercury glass and Mahogany Burl Veneer structure. Its tilting Mirror is fixed on two lateral pivots, and set between two detached columns forming its frame. The latter are ringed with Bronzes at the top and bottom, and surmounted by generous antique vases. We will emphasize the finesse of the carvings from which these bronzes gilded with fine gold and carefully restored benefit. The whole rests on arched legs, finished with castors and joined by a crosspiece of rectangular section. This Psyche is completely removable, and shows some traces of seniority on its glass, due to its two centuries of history. ******** Period: Early 19th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
