Signature of the sculptor: "Le Bourg" on the back with the inscription "acquis par la ville de Paris" ("acquired by the City of Paris") underneath. On the front, the title of the sculpture in a cartouche "Le Travail" ("The Work").
Casted during the artist's lifetime.
Excellent condition, consistent with age and use (see photographs)

His best known work is the creation of the Wallace fountain caryatids, five of which are in Nantes, a hundred in Paris and many more scattered around the world.
