The period of the Directory infused the Empire style and created some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture at the turn of the 19th century. This elegant serving trolley has a sober decor that gives it a surprising modernity. All mahogany, this piece of furniture has a white Italian marble top surrounded by an openwork gallery in gilded brass. The belt opens a drawer over the entire length of the sideboard with two handles and a keyhole, in gilded brass. At the location of the connection dice, there are two neat elements in guilloché brass which take up the pattern adorning the belt of the spacer. Four tarred mahogany columns create a space between the spacer and the top, a large space at the bottom of which is placed a mirror. This mirror, which gives more breadth to the piece of furniture, gives just as much to the room in which it is placed. Finally, there are four admirably worked toupie feet that lightly carry this trolley in perfect condition.
