Beautiful and elegant suite of three pearl gray lacquered armchairs, Directoire period, dating from the end of the 18th century around 1795. The seats that we present are carved with acanthus leaves, crossettes, connecting dice, as well as palmettes on armrests and backrests. The tapered legs ending in tops characteristic of the Louis XVI style. A curved back completes the architectural decor. They are provided with their original tapestry embroidered by the ladies of the house. The pearl gray lacquer, very popular during the reign of Louis XVI and the Directory, is also original. The armchairs are in walnut. Coming from a large house in Aix, always remained in the same family. Good condition. Dimensions: h.87 cm x d.48 cm x l.60 cm.
