Oil on panel framed by a carved wooden frame Montparnasse. Signature lower left: Sigrist. It is in perfect condition.The painting dates from the beginning of the 20th century as well as the frame.
Very beautiful painting in fawn colors with the view of the Pont des Arts and the Louvre, a very sunny and bright day in Paris.
The Montparnasse frame is really very beautiful and has a nice ceruse patina.

Pupil of Luc-Olivier Merson at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants as well as at the Salon d'Automne from 1910.
He exhibited at the Galerie Druet from 1923 to 1932.
His paintings are exhibited at the National Museum of Modern Art, at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris
and also in several provincial museums.
