*Founded in 1845 by Edmé Samson (1810-1891) in Paris, the factory employed up to 150 employees at the end 19th century, before declining during the 20th century.
The Samson house was able to reproduce everything: Chinese ceramics from the Ming period, passing through porcelain from Japan, European porcelain, enamels on copper from reproductions of old champlevés from the 13th century, Iznik ceramics from the 16th and 17th centuries, and also Persian ceramics.
