Three Empire Candlesticks , Schott, Frankfurt 1811-1822, Sterling Silver flag

Object description :

"Three Empire Candlesticks , Schott, Frankfurt 1811-1822, Sterling Silver"
Extremely rare set of three Empire candlesticks in solid silver with the prestigious hallmark of the famous goldsmith Johann Martin Schott (1786-1822) in Frankfurt. Stylistically quite typical for the German production of the first quarter of the nineteenth century, they can be unscrewed into four parts. On each foot is a later neo-Gothic monogram FC. Engraved traces of numbering suggest that they were one day part of a series of at least 8 identical candlesticks. This lovely trio weighs a generous 1100grams.
