"Large Drawing With Three Pencils"
Large drawing in three pencils, annotated at the bottom "Unfinished work of Jeann Claude (Driver?), from Vienna, died October 8, 1848"; Beautiful execution representing Moses writing the first chapters of the book of genesis in the foreground, then Adam and Eve expelled from paradise in the background and finally, sketched, in the third plan, an empty landscape supposed to represent the Earth. Narrative both figuratively and literally, the subject of our is even readable on the tablet that Moses holds on which we can read in Latin "In the beginning the Earth was formless and empty.."
