France Circa 1880 Height : 48cm Patinated bronze sculpture of a Florentine singer, historicist subject inspired to Dubois by his stay in Italy. The plaster model is presented at the Paris Salon of 1865, and allows its author to obtain the medal of honor. The first copy cast in bronze was acquired by Princess Mathilde. The model then entered the catalog of the bronzier Ferdinand Barbedienne, who produced it between 1865 and 1953 with the mechanical reduction process of Achille Collas, in six sizes, from 39 to 115 cm. very beautiful patina, faultless.
