Venus and Cupid, 18th century French school. This beautiful red chalk drawing is in good condition, with some small traces of time. The work was perfectly well done, the proportions are good and the theme, Venus confiscating her bow from her son Cupid, is really charming. It was reframed in the first half of the 20th century. Its original frame was probably smaller, as there is a slight difference in color around the design. Small traces of white gouache are visible. It's quite discreet.
