Drafting table or reading table in speckled maple inlaid with amaranth fillets. It opens in the belt by a drawer, and on the top by a desk sheathed in green leather gilded with small iron. It rests on tapered legs with cut sides ending in bronze clogs fitted with wheels. Stencil marking "LESAGE Rue Grange Bateliere N°2 PARIS Charles X period. Antoine-Nicolas LESAGE (1784-1841) was a manufacturer and merchant and counted the Duchess of Berry among his customers. The furniture he offered was always of a great finesse of execution.
