Chest Of Drawers In Solid Walnut, With Half-columns, Wooden Tray, XIXth Century.

Very beautiful regional chest of drawers in solid walnut, opening on the front with three drawers in three rows. Each drawer is embellished with two beautiful finely chiseled bronze pull handles. They are decorated with garlands of laurels and a central medallion containing the profile of a character wearing a laurel wreath. The two front uprights of our piece of furniture are adorned with a half-column and rest at the front on two top-shaped legs. A few streaks of black paint, retouched and partially faded, decorate a few turned elements of our chest of drawers, in particular the half-columns as well as the two front legs. It is topped with a wooden tray, however note a few small wax fillings on this one. ( view the photo). This piece of furniture is a beautiful regional manufacture, probably from the Saintongeais sector, from the second half of the 19th century.
