"Pair Of Patinated Gilt Bronze And Marble Candelabras From The Empire Period"
Pair of Roman bronze candelabras, patinated bronze, gilt and Carrara marble. A pair of naked Romans in patinated bronze and half draped in a toga, carry a gilt bronze amphora from which arms of light in natural rose branches escape. The column base in white Carrara marble is decorated with masks and a frieze of palmettes. The whole and in very good condition, the gilding is well preserved with some wear. Height: 38 cm width 19 cm bases 7.8 cm X 7.8 cm.
