"Rouen - Exceptional Earthenware Dish With Arms Of Victor Du Wicquet (boulonnais)"
Exceptional Rouen earthenware dish with the arms of Victor du Wicquet (1630 - 1710), knight, baron of Order, master of the waters and forests of Boulonnais. Coming from a Hainaut family, whose stock would be Hugues du Wicquet, cited in 1281, the Du Wicquets left their arms to the commune of Saint-Martin-Boulogne, by deliberation of September 30, 1985. The De Wicquets, who bore Vert with a silver chevron accompanied by three silver rustics, were lords of the place. Jean-Antoine-Marie-François du Wicquet, knight, alderman of Desvres in 1575, 1576, 1578 and 1584, treasurer of the city of Boulogne and farmer of the viscounty of Outreau, husband of Jeanne Wiart, was lord of Saint-Martin .
