Circa 1950 South Tunisia Bachnoug or Berber shawl collected in Matmata. Piece woven on a hand loom in sheep's wool and dyed with indigo blue according to ancestral techniques. Random geometric design and tie-dye tinted borders on both fringed sides. Subtle variations of the original indigo colors. No stains or holes. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: 198 cm x 113 cm and 4 cm of fringes.
