The family moved to Switzerland from 1908 and lived in Lausanne. She devoted herself very early to sculpture and entered the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in 1923, where she rubbed shoulders with Émile Antoine Bourdelle under the direction of Ary Bitter. She will stay in Paris for 10 years. She begins to exhibit in Paris but also throughout Europe. She continued to criss-cross Africa in her "Dodge" ambulance, baptized "Ki-Lu-Cru" until 1953. She died on July 18, 1966 in an automobile accident.
