Elegant wooden fighting club from Vanuatu, Oceania.The weapon, in the shape of a butt, is of oval section. Two engraved lines decorate the base of its handle.
The object, of remarkable age, has a beautiful deep patina. A similar copy is registered in the collections of the Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac under the inventory number 71.1957.2.23.
Mint condition. Nineteenth century.
