Object description :

"Georgian Marrow Spoon, Chiseled Shell, London, 1766, Chawner Frères"

Beautiful silver marrow spoon, from the 18th century, with large spoon,  handle with gutter to extract marrow, with superb chiselled shell on back, it bears the partial hallmark of brothers Thomas & William Chawner, of London, associates from 1759 to 1773. The letter dates: 1766. (except error, I am not expert, it is only the fruit of my research).
This shell model is superb, and very appreciated, I have sometimes seen dizzying prices at public sale.
Good condition, little wear.
Dimensions: 21.5cm x 4.5 Weight: 50gr.
