"Black Mama Faience Pitcher"
Earthenware pitcher representing the famous black nanny from the film "Gone with the Wind". Dressed in a loose white dress (petticoats for Paradise!) protected by a red apron tied in the back. She wears a red scarf on the hair. The Nanny holds an open book in front of her which turns out to be the pouring spout of the pitcher. Her face and the top of the shoulders are removable and serve as a lid for the pitcher. In the back a large white handle. Under the dress , a stamped mark: DOTPARIS and No. 734
