Large 18th century Directoire buffet in walnut topped with toile de Jouy Superb buffet 2 presentation bodies with 4 doors and fretted shelves The bottom has an interior shelf and opens with 2 doors on the front The side panels and the top are in fir origin: economic crisis of the end of the 18th century (Revolution) less noble woods were used for certain parts of the furniture This does not detract from its aesthetics because of the same color as the rest of the furniture Tapered legs at the front and straight to the the back The angles are mounted with cut sides with a Directoire triangle which gives a reminiscence of the Louis XVI style and its classicism The interior doors are worked in such a way as to be able to leave them open (as beautiful on the outside as on the inside) The top is with a policeman's hat and the doors follow the movement of the cornice which gives a little lightness to the sobriety of this period The 3 shelves at the top are very contoured so as to present: argenteri earthenware, glassware...
