Superb composition representing a small Mediterranean port, perhaps Italy. Those who know the place will easily recognize it. it is an oil on cardboard signed lower right Joly de Beynec, referenced at Bénézit. French landscape painter born in 1876. He was a pupil of J. Lefèvre and TR Fleury. He exhibited in Paris, at the salon of French artists, landscapes of the Dordogne and the Pyrenees. The colors, the light, everything is painted with subtlety and delicacy. Oil on a cardboard (alone) of 53 cm x 41 cm. It is presented in a beautiful modern frame in perfect condition, 70 cm x 58 cm.
