Rare engraved shell cameo depicting a magnificent portrait of Christ in profile. Here we have the work of an excellent artist who engraved this portrait of Jesus Christ with exceptional precision and dexterity.

This portrait is of a beauty which beyond its religious aspect cannot leave insensitive so much it is beautiful. Additional interest that I personally appreciate; it is a little larger in size than usual.
Dimensions: 5.1 x 4.1cm
The cameo is in perfect condition, the gold mount (eagle's head hallmark) has small deformations around its periphery which mean that it is not adjusted to the best everywhere ( you will notice in particular the small space at the bottom left between the frame and the edge of the cameo).
To refine my explanations, the frame remains in good condition and a small intervention by a professional can easily restore it to its original state) it does not present any fatal defect, far from it.
(Please note that the small locking olivette that secures the pin's stem is not gold), the pin itself is gold.
