"XVI Pendulum"
Large portico clock from the Empire period. Architecture in black marble with two columns, adorned with a rich decoration of finely chiseled bronze gilded with mercury in matt and shiny gold. caryatids supporting a basket of fruit underlined by rows of pearls as well as numerous twisted contours and rosettes distributed over the entire architecture. The upper part is decorated with ears of wheat and at the top of a flower basket accompanied by falling vines. Large domed dial in white enamel accompanied by finely worked golden hands. The space between the columns is occupied by a drapery and a beautiful sun pendulum. Rectangular base set with bronze friezes with palmettes and an outline of flattened pearls. Large original mechanism without modification, wire suspension, striking the hours and half hours on an old bell.
