Beautiful Persian Sarouk carpet center of Iran beginning 20em 192x127cm to know about Sarouk carpets: Sarouk carpets are heavy carpets made according to various patterns. Two patterns are predominant: the umbel pattern visible on the old models of Sarouk rugs and the herati pattern which is widely used today. The herati motif is characterized by a rosette surrounded by a diamond, a diamond in turn surrounded by leaves. Low quality carpets lose their credibility from the first use, which is not the case for Sarouk carpets. These rugs are of superior quality and attractive. They are generally characterized by a Persian knot, woolen velvet, cotton warp and weft, sometimes double or triple. The knot density ranges from 2500 to 6000 per square decametre.
