"Large 18th Century Bagard Box In Saint Lucia Wood"
Superb and rare and large early 18th century rectangular wooden box from Saint Lucia. IT is entirely carved with winding patterns and acanthus leaves and spandrel shells. The truncated pyramid-shaped cover is encrypted on top in an MRA coat of arms surmounted by a crown. The sculpture is of great finesse, in perfect condition, very light chips barely visible. French work called Bagard or Foulon rear interior trim.
