The medallions comprising many species of local wood as well as slight highlights of green and red are arranged in two columns on four parts separated by three trays. In the center the four medallions are larger.
The scenes are on a black background and framed by a lighter net.
The two top medallions represent: on the left a carrier of heavy fagots and on the right a bouquet of flowers.
In the second part is decorated on the left with a woman dreaming near a fountain and her counterpart on the right a couple whose gallant offers a rose. Do these two medallions refer to an iconography dealing with the song “A la Claire Fontaine”?
The third level of medallions represent a washerwoman on the left and on the right a man with his back eating, leaning against a barrel and wearing the red cap of Neapolitan fishermen. The fourth and last floor is decorated on the left with a seated spinner and on the right a sower.
