"Vosges Under The Snow -by Robert Kammerer"
Vosges under the snow, canvas signed Robert Kammerer (1882-1965). Kammerer, born in Mulhouse, is one of those artists from the Mulhouse textile industry, trained at the School of Industrial Design in Mulhouse, he will also take courses at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. He will complete his training in Paris and will make many trips to Greece, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium. He specializes in the landscapes of the Vosges and the Thann Valley, and exhibits regularly at the Maison d'Art Alsacienne from 1914. This beautiful landscape is bathed in a luminous and serene atmosphere, and transcribes well the softness of the high plateaus and peaks. Vosges.
