"19th Century French Commode, Louis XVI Style"
Alexander Roux Serpentine Inlaid Side Cabinet 'mainly uses light wood materials such as violet wood or lemon tree, and floral motifs to bring a feeling of closeness, friendliness towards nature. The background texture has a classic lattice pattern that dominates most of the cabinet's marquetry inlay surface. In addition, the edges of the furniture are lined with intricately patterned golden lines. On both sides of the cabinet are images of women, which merge the feminine patterns at the front with gilded bronze frames. The four legs of the cabinet are gilded with a uniform palmette pattern with an acanthus centerpiece. The cabinet consists of three shelves inside, a drawer above and is topped with a marble slab. This Greek Revival wardrobe is an innovative combination of antique style motifs from the late nineteenth century and was designed by Alexandre Roux, a French-born interior designer.
