USA, uncommon revolver from the manufacturer: "PLANT", EAGLE ARMS & CO NEW YORK, 1860s. This "PLANT" revolver, represents an attempt to circumvent ROLLIN WHITE's patent. It is chambered from the front of the cylinder with special metal cartridges of caliber 30 CUP-PRIMED. The empty case extractor is visible to the right of the carcass. It is a rod sliding in a slide and operated by a ball-shaped lever. This rod enters the chamber from behind and ejects the empty case from the front. This single-action weapon was manufactured in the 1860s in only 20,000 copies, this one bearing the No. 4944.
