Object description :

"Tea Table, Living Room Table Forming A Lectern / Lectern, Japanese Lacquer Decor, Tilting System Table, "
Superb and rare living room table forming a reading desk thanks to its tilting top. This remarkable piece of furniture is made up of two trays: The upper tray is in Chinese lacquer, it can be lifted by means of a side button that just needs to be pulled, thus transforming our living room table into a reading table. This tray is also mounted on a rack, thus allowing different degrees of inclination. To close it, simply fold down the tray by pulling the button again, the latter blocking the system when released. The decor of the board represents a Japanese landscape animated by a deer and two characters. The lower top is covered with a fine and elegant marquetry of precious wood. It has tiny, barely visible sunstrokes. The arched legs of our table are finished with beautiful gilt bronze clogs. The set is in superb condition, only a few tiny cracks of use are to be noted on the lacquer (see photos) they are without the slightest impact. Superb manufacturing from the Napoleon III period
