The attributes of the gardener adorn the central panel of this pretty diminutive of a jumping chest of drawers. This beautiful piece, work of companionship or preparation for a master's degree, combines all the criteria of a ceremonial chest of drawers from the Louis XV / Louis XVI transition periods: two drawers without visible crosspiece, central projection, top with decoration of bird flowers and cornucopia, vase and floral composition on the sides, the gardener's tools are staged like a bouquet on the central part of the drawers, upright with cut sides inlaid with reserve whose feet are finished with small bronze clogs, drawer fitted with bronze pull buttons. The marquetry is in country wood and rosewood. XIXth century work.
