Eugène Paul, known as Gen Paul, 1895-1975, French expressionist painter. He was also a gouachist, draftsman, engraver and lithographer. Gen Paul is an autodidact, sometimes qualified in a reductive way as Painter of Montmartre. He was introduced to engraving by Eugène Delâtre. He painted his first canvases between 1919 and 1924 under the pseudonyms of Paul Trelade and Eugène Lautral. This Painting is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Galerie Roussard in Paris, the only authority on the subject, and is Registered in the Catalog Raisonné.

The paint, Never Cleaned and Not Dirty, is in perfect 100% original condition, neither repainted nor repaired of any kind. Strictly Nothing stands out under the UV lamp The small aged cracks visible in the photos are much less natural, the effect is accentuated by the sun.
It is in a more recent Coaster Frame in Very Good Condition (small normal wear).
