Painting the horse market after Rosa Bonheur. Oil on canvas after an original painted in 1853 and kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1855. This painting was made around 1870. In a superb and important stuccoed wooden frame with its beautiful original gilding. Frame dimensions: 127 x 82 x 8 cm. Cleaned by my restorer. Two small pieces on the back.
