The drinkers, oil on wood panel, dimensions 18.5 cm x 22.5 cm, with its frame 34 cm x 38 cm, workshop of Adriaen Brouwer Adriaen Brouwer was born in Oudenaarde in 1605 and died in Antwerp on February 1, 1638, he is a painter from the Southern Netherlands. He specialized mainly in genre painting, but we also owe him landscapes and portraits. First a pupil of his father, we find him in Amsterdam in 1626, then in Harlem in 1628 in the workshop of Frans Hals, then in 1631 in Antwerp where he was part of the Guild of Saint Luke of this city.
