Capped with a top of two mahogany boards and a walnut board in two mahogany crosspieces.
It opens with three long, largely molded drawers and rests on four shell feet, the two rear feet of which have been grafted. It bears on its high rear crosspiece an ink mark of a 19th century Rochelais cabinetmaker.
This mark must correspond to a previous restoration during which its handles, entrances and locks were changed.
