" Colette Pope Heldner American Woman Painter"
Oil on canvas board depicting swamps in Bayou country in Louisiana. The work is painted on a 50.5x40.5 cm canvas board, signed lower left and titled "swamp idyl" and countersigned on the back. It is framed in its original frame in molded wood. Colette Pope Heldner (1902-1990), settled in New Orleans in the 1920s and painted mainly landscapes of this region.
